There are three serious LLM vendors in 2026 — OpenAI (ChatGPT, GPT family), Anthropic (Claude), and Google (Gemini) — plus a meaningful open-source layer (Llama, Mistral, DeepSeek). For a hotel use case, the differences that matter are not the benchmark scores but the practical traits: how good at non-English languages, how reliable on long instructions, how easy to integrate, how priced.

Claude (Anthropic)

Best at: long-context tasks (a 50-page contract review, a 200-message guest thread), nuanced writing in a specific voice, careful refusal when it does not know the answer. Slightly more expensive per request than ChatGPT or Gemini at the top tier. Strong in Turkish, German, French; weaker in some Asian languages. Conservative on outputs — fewer hallucinations but occasionally over-cautious.

ChatGPT (OpenAI)

Best at: broad general use, the most polished consumer UX, the largest ecosystem of plugins and integrations. GPT-4 Turbo and GPT-4o are the flagship models. Strong in all major languages including TR. The most aggressive on output — sometimes too willing to "make something up" if the prompt invites it. Cheapest of the three for most use cases at scale.

Gemini (Google)

Best at: integration with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail), multimodal tasks (image + text), real-time information when paired with Google search. Gemini Pro is the production tier. Strong in TR. The weakest of the three on long-form creative writing in 2026, but improving fast.

Which to pick

For most hotel use cases, the answer is "the one your team is already using." All three are within 10-15% of each other on quality for tasks like review response, email translation, and copy generation. Switching cost (re-training the team, redoing prompt templates) usually exceeds the marginal quality gain. Pick one, build prompt libraries for it, revisit in 12 months.

Exception: if you need very long context (full guest history, multi-document contract analysis), Claude has been the leader on that for the past 18 months. If you need deep Google Workspace integration, Gemini. For everything else, ChatGPT is the default low-effort choice.
